squeak1980 snicker cake posted with her permission |
1 german chocolate cake mix |
1 pkg caramels |
1 stick oleo |
1/3c milk |
3/4c. chocolate chips |
1c. chopped nuts |
and 1 jar of caramel ice cream topping |
Directions:
1. Directions for Ice Cream: 2. Pour cream directly into ice cream machine center bucket. Add sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Process ice cream according to machine instructions. 3. After Ice Cream is done, put in freezer for at least 2 hours before trying to combine. 4. Directions for Squeak1980 Snicker cake: 5. Mix cake mix according to instructions on cake box. 6. Pour half of the batter in a 9x13-inch pan 7. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. 8. Melt caramels with oleo and milk. 9. Pour over the baked cake mix. 10. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and chopped nuts. 11. Dot remaining cake batter on top. 12. Bake 20 minutes longer at 250 degrees and 10 minutes at 350 degrees. 13. Remove from oven and cool. Needs no icing 14. After ice cream is at least slightly frozen, place two scoops in a bowl. Take a piece of the snicker cake and cut it into medium size cubes, about two inch in diameter - nothing precise. Add it to the ice cream. 15. Now take the caramel topping and drizzle some over the top of everything. 16. Take two spoons and slowly mix all three things together. Do not overmix because you want chunks of cake in the ice cream. Enjoy!!!! |
