Another yummy chocolate cake. I'm surprised I don't weigh 2000 pounds the way I like to bake. :) Ingredients:
1 pkg german chocolate cake mix |
12 oz caramels |
1/2 cup margarine |
1/3 cup milk |
3/4 cup chocolate chips |
1 cup chopped pecans |
cool whip for garnish |
Directions:
1. Prepare cake mix as directed on box. bake half the batter in a 9 x 13 pan for 20 minutes. 2. melt caramels, margarine and milk, stirring until smooth. 3. put on baked cake. 4. top with chips and pecans. 5. dot with remaining batter. 6. reduce oven to 250 degrees and bake for 20 minutes. 7. Increase the temperature to 350 and bake 10 - 15 minutes more 8. garnish with cool whip |
