First time I had this was many years ago at a christmas party. It was amazingly so good. It takes some time to put together. It is not difficult to make, just a few steps but oh so worth it. I find it better than the original snickers! Read more ! Great to add for the hoilday goodie box. Ingredients:
1 cup milk chocolate chips |
1/4 cup butterscotch chips |
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter, divided |
1/4 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 cup evaporated milk |
1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 1/2 cups chopped salted peanuts |
1 (14 ounce) package caramels |
1/4 cup heavy cream |
topping |
1 cup milk chocolate chips |
1/4 cup butterscotch chips |
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter |
Directions:
1. Combine 1 cup chocolate chips, 1/4 cu butterscotch chips and 1/4 cup peanut butter in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat until melted and smooth, stirring constantly. Spread onto the bottom of a greased 9 X 13 baking pan. Chill until set. 2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium high heat. Add the sugar and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add the marshmallow creme, 1/4 cup peanut butter and vanilla and mix well. Stir in the peanuts and spread over the chocolate mixture. Chill until set. 3. Combine the caramels and cream in a saucepan. Cook over low heat until the caramels melt and the mixture is smooth, stirring constantly. Spread over the peanut layer.
