This is from a Swedish cookbook of mine- It is a recipe for Quick Orange Bread. Yields 1 large loaf or 2 small loaves. Ingredients:
3 cups flour |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 1/4 cups milk |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
1 egg, beaten |
1/2 cup chopped orange rind |
Directions:
1. Sift the dry ingredients. 2. Add milk, butter, beaten egg and beat well. 3. Add orange peel- Mix. 4. Place in a greased loaf pan and let rise for about 15 minutes. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. |
