Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped bacon |
1/4 cup diced ham |
1/2 cup diced onion |
1 teaspoon chopped garlic |
1 pound green beans, trimmed |
salt and black pepper |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan cook bacon until fat begins to render. Add ham, onion and garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add beans and 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until beans are very tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Drain. Transfer to a warm dish for serving. |
