SMOTHERED CAULIFLOWER This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Crawford Estate in Quinlan, Texas in 1982. Ingredients:
1 head cauliflower |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 cups thickened tomatoes |
1 onion grated |
2 tablespoons butter |
3/4 cup bread crumbs |
grated cheese |
Directions:
1. Cook whole cauliflower until tender. 2. Season with salt and put head up in baking dish. 3. Pour tomatoes over and add remaining ingredients in order given. 4. Bake until cheese is melted and bread crumbs are browned in a moderate oven. |
