For those with a sweeter tooth in the morning, try this wonderful, dessert like dish of warm yumminess. It doesn't take much of the additions to give you a decadent taste, so it's still a fairly healthy way to start the day! Read more ! Ingredients:
1 cup steel cut oats |
1 cup milk(low fat is fine) |
2-3 cups water |
1/4 cup milk chocolate chips |
1/4 cup mini marshmallows |
1/4 cup coarsely crushed graham crackers |
Directions:
1. *if desired, toast oats in lightly sprayed skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes. This improves flavor, but isn't necessary :) 2. Combine milk and water in medium saucepan and bring to a boil. 3. Add oats reduce heat and let simmer about 25 minutes without stirring. 4. Stir well and add chocolate chips, marshmallows, crackers and a touch more milk, if desired. 5. Stir so chocolate and marshmallows melt, at least a lil. 6.
