A Recipe My Sister In Law From KY Gave Me This Recipe.I am from Southern Indiana!Sounds like a KEEPER! Ingredients:
1 lb smoked sausage |
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine |
1/2 cup sliced green onion |
1 (2 lb) bag frozen hash browns, southern style,thawed |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
2 cups sour cream |
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Cut 1/2 pound sausage into 1 in. 2. pieces. 3. Cut remaining sausage into thirds. 4. Slice partially through. 5. Researve for Garnish. 6. Melt butter in skillet,saute onion 3 minutes or until tender. 7. In a large mixing bowl, combine sausage, hashbrowns, and onion. 8. Mix Well. 9. Add remaining ingredients except 1/2 cup grated cheese. 10. Spoon into 11 x 7 x 2 baking dish. 11. Top with sausage thirds. 12. Sprinkle remaining cheese around border. 13. Bake in a preheted oven 350 degrees For 30 to 35 minutes. |
