let it snow lol...............these cookies with white chocolate and a dusting of powdered sugar are as sweet as a snow fall on a winter day in the south................ Ingredients:
6- ounces white chocolate |
3/4- cup butter softened |
1- cup sugar |
3- large eggs |
1- teaspoon vanilla extract |
3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1- teaspoon baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 - teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1- 1/2 - cups chopped walnuts , toasted |
1/2- cup powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. melt white chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until chocolate is smooth 2. beat butter and 1 cup of sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer 5 minutes or until fluffy 3. add eggs 1 at a time , beating until well blended after each addition 4. add vanilla, beating well 5. add melted chocolate and beat 30 seconds............... 6. combine flour and next 3 ingredients 7. add to butter mixture, beating until blended 8. stir in walnuts 9. drop dough by heaping tablespoons onto a lightly greased baking sheets 10. bake at 350 degrees f....... for 10 - to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned 11. remove to wire racks to cool completely 12. sprinkle with powdered sugar 13. you can freeze up to one month in a airtight container if desired |
