Very crisp and tasty main dish or they would also make a nice entree with sweet chilli sauce for dipping. Ingredients:
300 g chicken breasts, cubed |
1 tablespoon oil |
1/2 cup beer |
3/4 cup flour |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon liquid smoke |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, ground |
oil, to deep fry |
Directions:
1. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a wok or fry pan and cook chicken until lightly browned and cooked through. 2. Combine beer, flour, egg, liquid smoke, baking powder and pepper in a small bowl and mix well. 3. Dip chicken pieces in batter mix and deep fry in hot oil a few at a time until light brown and crispy. |
