A great bbq sauce for chicken, ribs, steaks, etc. For when you need something in a pinch that's quick, delicious and simple. If you want to keep for a couple weeks, bring to boil, then simmer for 10 minutes on stovetop. Refrigerate in a sterilized glass jar. Otherwise, no cooking necessary. My dh also likes me to add a Tbsp of montreal steak spice or other seasoning, but its really not essential. Ingredients:
1 cup ketchup |
1 tablespoon molasses |
1 tablespoon maple syrup (or other sweetener) or 1 tablespoon honey (or other sweetener) |
1 teaspoon liquid smoke |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together and either use to baste or as a dipping sauce. |
