About the simplest BBQ recipe there is.. and it's very good. Ingredients:
3 lbs country-style pork ribs |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1 medium onion, sliced |
1/2 cup apple butter |
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar |
1 tablespoon liquid smoke |
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped |
Directions:
1. SPRINKLE RIBS WITH SALT AND PEPPER. 2. PLACE IN SLOW COOKER. 3. COVER WITH ONION SLICES. 4. MIX REMAINING INGREDIENTS; POUR OVER RIBS AND ONION. 5. COVER AND COOK ON LOW HEAT SETTING 8-10 HOURS. 6. REMOVE RIBS TO WARM PLATTER; KEEP WARM. 7. STRAIN JUICES. 8. POUR JUICES FROM SLOW COOKER INTO 1 QUART SAUCEPAN. 9. HEAT TO BOILING OVER MEDIUM HIGH HEAT; REDUCE HEAT TO MEDIUM. 10. COOK ABOUT 5 MINUTES OR UNTIL SAUCE HAS SLIGHTLY THICKENED. 11. SERVE SAUCE WITH RIBS. |
