This dish is a heart attack waiting to happen. Ingredients:
2lb breakfast sausage |
frozen hashbrowns |
carmelized vidalia onions |
shredded cheddar cheese |
muenster cheese |
salt/pepper to taste |
1 lb bacon |
Directions:
1. press 1lb sausage into bottom of pie tin up to the rim 2. layer hash browns, salt/pepper to taste 3. layer carmelized vidalia onions 4. layer shredded cheddar cheese 5. layer muenster slices 6. press remaining sausage to make a crust 7. crosshatch bacon strips over crust 8. Put in smoker for about 2 hrs(I use hickory/applewood combo), remove from pie tin and bake in oven 350 for about 1/2 to help excess fat runoff. |
