Smoked Sausage and Sauerkraut |

A family favorite! It's quick, inexpensive and tasty! Ingredients:
1 (1 lb) package smoked sausage |
1 (1 lb) package sauerkraut |
1 (32 ounce) bottle v8 vegetable juice |
Directions:
1. Drain sauerkraut in a colander. Sit under running water for a few minutes to thoroughly rinse the brine. 2. Place sauerkraut in shallow pan. Cut sausage in serving size pieces. Cut lengthwise almost in half and arrange on sauerkraut. 3. Pour bottle of V-8 over all and simmer to blend flavors and heat sausage. 4. Serve with mashed or fried potatoes. Yum! |
