These are some of the best ribs I have ever had. They are the most tender ribs that I have ever had. I just had to share the recipe. Ingredients:
2 baby back rib racks |
1 cup butter |
1/2 quart vinegar |
1/2 cup lemon juice |
1 (12 ounce) bottle marinade (such as dales, moore's, or allegro, allegro is the best) |
1/4 cup your favorite barbecue rub |
10 -12 hickory wood chunks |
1 quart water or 1 quart apple juice or 1 quart beer |
barbecue sauce |
Directions:
1. Prepare smoker. 2. Combine butter, vinegar, lemon juice, and marinade in a large pot. 3. Bring to a boil on the stove. 4. Drop racks of ribs into the mixture and cook until they turn brown (usually 5-10 minutes). 5. Remove and let cool for 5-10 minutes. 6. Rub ribs with barb-que rub of choice. 7. Pour water, apple juice or beer into the water-pan. 8. Put a large handful of wood chunks on-top of charcoal. 9. Cook ribs for 3 1/2 hours rotating them once during those 3 1/2 hours. After 3 1/2 hours, put on bar-b-que sauce and cook for an additional 30 minutes. 10. Enjoy! |
