My Step Father and his mother make these babies every year for Christmas dinner. It is the highlight of the dinner for me! I have started to make them for my family gatherings too! I eye ball all my recipes so you may need to add or decrease the ingredients to your liking. Ingredients:
1 dozen egg |
1 (250 g) jar smoked fish fillet |
125 g cream cheese (half a package) |
3 -4 tablespoons mayonnaise |
pepper |
1 tablespoon hot sauce |
1 (8 ounce) jar lumpfish caviar |
Directions:
1. Hard cook, peel, half and pull out the centeres of the eggs. 2. In a bowl mix half the yolks, the smoked fish (juices as well), crean cheese, hot sauce, and s+p. Mix very well. You could mix in a food processor too. 3. Taste the mix and make sure it is to your satisfaction :). 4. Fill each egg white half with mixture and top with a dab of caviar. 5. I do not add salt as the caviar adds enough of it! 6. They are best very chilled. |
