Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce |

I've used this sauce with spaghetti,lasagna,pizza...you name it. Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef |
1 pound sweet or hot italian sausage-casing removed |
4 14 1/2oz cans diced tomatoes |
6 6oz cans tomato paste |
1 cup beef broth |
1/4 cup packed brown sugar |
1 tablespoon mrs. dash seasoning |
2 tablespoons garlic powder |
2 teaspoons dried basil(or 2 tablespoons fresh) |
2 teaspoons dried parsley(or 2 tablespoons fresh) |
2 teaspoons dried oregano(or 2 tablespoons fresh) |
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1 teaspoon salt. |
1 bay leaf |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef and sausage until no longer pink. 2. Drain and transfer to a 4 quart or larger slow cooker(crock pot). 3. Stir in tomatoes,tomato paste,broth,brown sugar and seasonings. Mix well. 4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. 5. Discard bay leaf. 6. Serve over hot spaghetti or your favorite pasta. |
