These are amazing. Can be made and frozen ahead of time and thrown in the crock pot frozen to be ready after work. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground chuck |
1 cup chopped onion |
2 garlic cloves, cut in half |
3/4 cup ketchup |
1/4 cup water |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons mustard |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1/2 cup chopped celery |
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder |
8 hamburger buns |
Directions:
1. In skillet, brown beef with garlic and onion. Drain and remove garlic cloves. Transfer to crock pot. Add remaining ingredients and cover. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours. Serve on toasted buns. 2. To freeze ahead of time, follow instructions and instead of putting in crock pot, put is a freezer bag and freeze. Can be put in crock pot frozen and will be ready for dinner. |
