Tastes like you're doing something you shouldn't! Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 onion, chopped |
4 garlic cloves, minced |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
12 ounces part-skim ricotta cheese |
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese |
16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese |
1 (12 ounce) package lasagna noodles |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef in a medium skillet over medium heat. Drain fat and put browned beef in a bowl. 2. Wipe out pan. Add olive oil. When hot, add onion and saute 3 minutes or until soft and translucent. Add garlic and saute 1 minute or until fragrant. Add tomato paste and saute 2-3 minutes until tomato is beginning to brown. Return the meat to the pan and add the tomato sauce, salt and oregano. Stir well and cook until hot. 3. In a large bowl, blend ricotta cheese with parmesan and mozzarella. 4. Place a layer of meat sauce in bottom of slow cooker. Top with a layer of lasagna noodles; break noodles to fit in slow cooker. Top with cheese mixture. Continue layering sauce, noodles and cheese until it's all used up. 5. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours. |
