Slow Cooker Kielbasa Stew |

I love this soup on cold days! The slow cooker is an added treat for the busy cook. Ingredients:
4 cups cabbage, coarsely chopped |
3 cups potatoes, cubed (peeled and cubed if you want) |
1 1/2 cups carrots, sliced |
1 -2 lb kielbasa, sliced |
1/2 teaspoon basil, dried and crushed |
1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried and crushed |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
56 ounces chicken broth |
2 chicken bouillon cubes |
Directions:
1. In a 4-5 quart slow cooker combine cabbage, potatoes and carrots. 2. Top with kielbasa. 3. Sprinkle basil, thyme and pepper over kielbasa. 4. Pour chicken broth over top. Should be covered with liquid- add more broth if necessary. 5. Cover and cook on low heat for 7-9 hours or on high for 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 hours. |
