You may certainly substitute cream of mushroom, broccoli, etc for the cream of celery soup used here. Ingredients:
3 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast in bite-size pieces. |
1/2 teaspoon olive oil |
3 cloves garlic, crushed |
1/2 cup water |
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon salt, if desired |
1/2 teaspoon italian seasonings |
1 apple, peeled, cored and cut into eighths |
3 small red potatoes, cut into eighths |
1 (1.25 ounce) envelope dry onion gravy mix |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. 2. Saute chicken until lightly browned. 3. Add garlic and saute 1 minutes more. 4. Place chicken and garlic in slow cooker crock. 5. Add water, soup, salt and pepper, Italian seasoning, apple, potatoes, onion and gravy mix. 6. Stir. 7. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours 8. Serve over rice or noodles, if desired. |
