Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore |

My family loves this chicken. Melt in your mouth tender and the sauce is fabulous over rice. Ingredients:
6 skinless chicken thighs |
1 (4 1/2 ounce) can mushrooms, drained |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth |
1 (6 ounce) can italian tomato paste |
1/2 cup white wine (optional) |
1/2 teaspoon dried sage |
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
Directions:
1. 1. Place mushrooms, broth, tomato paste, optional wine and sage in cooker. 2. 2. Add chicken and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours. 3. 3. Remove chicken from pot and add thyme to sauce. 4. 4. Mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup liquid from pot and stir into sauce. 5. 5. Cook on high for 15 minutes or until thickened. 6. 6. Add chicken to pot and reheat for a few minutes. |
