Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice Soup |

I was craving some chicken soup yesterday, so I put some things I had in my fridge and pantry into my slow cooker to create this delicious comfort food. Ingredients:
1/2 lb boneless chicken breast |
1 lb ground turkey |
1 cup diced red onion |
4 garlic cloves (diced, my family loves garlic, so i use a lot) |
1 cup uncooked brown jasmine rice |
2 cups of fresh baby spinach |
1 teaspoon fresh sage |
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary |
1 teaspoon fresh thyme |
1 teaspoon fresh chives |
1 (12 ounce) can reduced-sodium chicken broth |
1 tablespoon cream cheese |
Directions:
1. Dump everything except for cream cheese into slow cooker and cook on low for eight hours. 2. Put a dollop of cream cheese in the bottom of a bowl and spoon soup over it. 3. Stir to get a creamier soup. |
