Yummy Easy meal for the slow cooker
Ingredients:
1 pound dry pinto beans
8 cups water
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper
5 cloves garlic
1 pound turkey sausage
1 cup white rice
Directions:
1. soak beans in water overnight in slow cooker. Then add the next 8 ingredients and cook on low for 8 hours or high for about 4 hours. Add rice and cook for another 45 minutes adding water if necessary.
