Yummy Easy meal for the slow cooker Ingredients:
1 pound dry pinto beans |
8 cups water |
1 yellow onion, chopped |
1 green pepper, chopped |
1 tsp thyme |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/2 tsp black pepper |
1/2 tsp red pepper |
5 cloves garlic |
1 pound turkey sausage |
1 cup white rice |
Directions:
1. soak beans in water overnight in slow cooker. Then add the next 8 ingredients and cook on low for 8 hours or high for about 4 hours. Add rice and cook for another 45 minutes adding water if necessary. |
