These wings are fall-off-the-bone tender. Ingredients:
4-5 pounds raw chicken wings |
salt |
pepper |
garlic powder |
cayenne pepper |
1 large onion-sliced |
1 18oz bottle bbq sauce-honey,hickory,or your favorite flavor |
Directions:
1. Remove wing tips. 2. Season wings with salt,pepper,garlic powder,and cayenne to taste. For best results refrigerate overnight after seasoning. 3. In a slow cooker/crock pot(4 quart or larger), spoon a few tablespoons of BBQ sauce onto the bottom. 4. Add 1/3 of the chicken wings. 5. Cover with 1/3 of the sliced onions. 6. Pour on a layer of sauce. 7. Repeat until all the chicken wings,onions and BBQ sauce are in the pot. 8. Cook on high for 4-6 hours or on low for 8 hours. 9. Makes a good gravy you can spoon over hot rice or mashed potatoes. |
