Slow Cooker Artichokes

Love the artichoke hate having to wait for them to cook...this way I can have them ready when I get home from work, Dip in butter and go.
Ingredients:
4 medium sized artichokes
1 1/2 tsp of salt
1 cup of lemon juice, fresh -divided use
2 cups of hot water
1 stick of melted butter
Directions:
1. Wash and trim the artichokes.
2. Cut off about 1 inch off the top. Snip the ends of the leaves.
3. Stand artichokes upright in slow cooker.
4. Sprinkle each choke with 1/2 tsp of salt and 2 tbsp of lemon juice.
5. Pour 2 cups of hot water around the bottom of the chokes.
6. Cover and cook on low 8 hours.
7. Serve with melted butter and lemon juice for dipping.
