Slow Cooked Herbed Chicken and Potatoes

Ingredients:
8 small red potatoes
1 (5 lb) whole chickens
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Place potatoes in a 6 qt slow cooker. Remove giblets from chicken if necessary.
2. In small bowl combine all spices/seasonings. Rub chicken with herb mixture and place on top of potatoes. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh reaches 175 degreees. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
