I love any way to get the vegetables in, and these are so good. Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey |
3/4 cup chopped onion |
2/3 cup chopped green pepper |
2 garlic cloves |
8 ounces tomato sauce |
1/4 cup ketchup |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon basil |
1/2 teaspoon oregano |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 1/4 cups shredded zucchini |
2/3 cup shredded carrot |
Directions:
1. Spray pan with cooking spray. 2. Cook turkey, onion, peppers and garlic until brown. 3. Drain on paper towel. 4. Return to skillet and add rest of ingredients and cook about 10 minutes. 5. Serve on buns. |
