This is the greatest! There are never, ever any leftovers. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef |
1 small onion, minced |
2 stalks celery, minced |
1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce (bottled tomato sauce similar to catsup) |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, or slow-cooking pot with browning unit, cook beef with celery and onion until meat loses its red color. 2. Pour off excess fat. 3. In slow-cooking pot, combine meat, onion and celery with remaining ingredients. 4. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. 5. Spoon over toasted hamburger buns or French rolls. |
