I plan to make it tomorrow night but wanted to go ahead and get it into one of my cookbooks. I've been looking for a recipe for Sloppy Joes that wasn't sweet and I hope this is it. Ingredients:
1 1/2 tablespoons oil |
2 cups chopped onions |
3 lbs lean ground beef |
2 cups barbecue sauce or 2 cups ketchup |
1 cup french's classic yellow mustard |
1/2 cup french's classic worcestershire sauce |
2 (15 ounce) packages hamburger slider roll (about 24 rolls) |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large pot. Saute onions 3 minutes until tender. 2. Add ground beef to pot. Cook until brown, stirring to separate meat. Drain well. 3. Stir in BBQ sauce (or Ketchup), mustard and Worcestershire. 4. Simmer about 5 minutes until flavors are blended. 5. Spoon onto slider rolls. |
