This recipe has gotten a lot of use. Got it from someone I worked with in the 70's. Still great! Ingredients:
1 lb ground chuck |
1 large onion, chopped |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/4 cup ketchup |
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce |
Directions:
1. Brown together ground beef and onion. 2. Add cornstarch, sugar to meat. 3. Mix ketchup, Worcestershire, salt, pepper and vinegar and add to pan. 4. Add tomato sauce,. 5. Boil & cook 20 minutes. 6. Serve on buns. |
