After ten years of looking for a spaghetti sauce recipe that I could get DH to eat, he brought this home from work and declared I Like This ! Yea! It's a recipe from his co-worker, Darren. He uses deer meat but I use beef. I'm guessing at the servings, as I freeze what we don't eat after the initial cooking. Ingredients:
3 lbs hamburger |
1/2 onion, chopped |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1 teaspoon tony chachere's seasoning |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes |
2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato puree |
1 (10 ounce) can rotel (tomatoes and green chili's) |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon tony chachere's seasoning |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
Directions:
1. Sauté hamburger with next 5 ingredients and drain. 2. Add the rest of ingredients and simmer for 1 hour. |
