A wonderful presentation that will draw you towards the lunch table with ease :) Enjoy! Ingredients:
3 medium sized oranges, peeled and thinly sliced |
4 tablespoons butter |
1 medium sized onion, finely chopped |
2 garlic cloves, crushed |
1 1/2 cups long-grain basmati rice |
3 cups water |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a pan. 2. Stir-fry garlic and onion in it on medium heat for 10 minutes. 3. Add rice and stir-fry for a minute. 4. Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. 5. Cover and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes. 6. Fluff with a fork then turn off heat and re-cover and cook in its own steam for 30 minutes. 7. Place on a serving platter lined with sliced oranges. 8. Serve warm and enjoy! |
