Combine ingredients in the morning, and let the meat marinate during the workday. Once dinnertime rolls around, you can have the main dish on the table in minutes. Ingredients:
1 pound boneless sirloin steak (3/4 inch thick) |
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar |
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
cooking spray |
1/2 cup beef broth |
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag. Seal bag; shake to coat. Marinate in refrigerator 8 hours. 2. Remove steak from marinade, reserving marinade. Heat a large skillet coated with cooking spray over high heat. Add beef, and cook 1 minute on each side or until browned. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 4 minutes on each side or until done. Place beef on a platter; keep warm. 3. Increase heat to medium-high. Add reserved marinade and broth to pan; scrape pan to loosen browned bits. Bring to a boil; cook 4 minutes or until sauce is reduced to 1/4 cup. Slice beef diagonally across grain into thin slices. Serve beef with sauce. |
