Skillet Green Beans Tomatoes And Bacon |

Green beans are a favorite around my home, no matter how they are cooked. but these are a favorite of mine. I hope that this dish can be a favorite of yours, too. Ingredients:
6 slices bacon, cut into 1 pieces |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 lb. green beans, trimmed, cut into 1 1/2' pieces |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
1/4 tsp. pepper |
4 medium plum tomatoes, chopped |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp, stirring occasionally. Transfer bacon with a slotted spoon to paper towels to drain, reserving drippings in skillet. 2. Add onions to drippings in skillet; cook and stir 6 minutes or until lightly browned. Add beans, broth and pepper; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover. Simmer 40 minutes or until beans are tender. 3. Stir in tomatoes; increase heat to medium-high. Cook 3 minutes or until tomatoes are heated through. Transfer to a serving dish. Sprinkle with bacon. Serve warm. |
