Ingredients:
2 cups buttermilk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 drop vanilla
Directions:
1. Preheat cast iron skillet in at 450 degrees. Combine buttermilk, eggs, and baking soda Mix well. In a separate bowl, mix cornmeal and salt. Add the buttermilk mixture, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into skillet. Bake for 35 minutes, using toothpick to check for doneness.
