A quick and fresh corn dish. It is one of our favorite summer sides. Goes great with chicken, steak,burgers,you name it! Ingredients:
1 can whole kernel corn, drained or 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen corn |
1/4 onion, chopped |
1/4 green bell pepper, chopped |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 stick butter |
4 to 6 slices bacon, cooked crispy |
dash salt |
dash pepper |
dash creole seasoning |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon until crispy, crumble and set aside. 2. In large skillet, saute onion, bell pepper, and garlic in butter until tender. 3. Stir in corn and lower heat to medium. 4. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking. 5. Stir in spices,cover, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on low/med. heat. |
