My dad remembers Grandma Weeks making this ice cream in the 1920s. The flavor is light and subtle. Making this ice cream on the 4th of July is an old tradition in our family. I use my Oster Quick Freeze Ice Cream Maker. Ingredients:
3 mashed bananas |
3 oranges, juice and pulp |
3 lemons, juice and pulp |
3 cups sugar |
3 cups half-and-half |
3 cups milk |
Directions:
1. Blend first 3 ingredients. 2. Stir in Sugar. 3. Add half and half and milk and mix well. 4. Put in ice cream freezer, follow freezer directions. |
