This is a recipe that I got from a friend of ours, and these beans have never failed me yet, and they are so delicious!! Ingredients:
beans (1 package) |
1/2 teaspoon mustard |
pork or bacon, to taste |
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine |
1 whole onion |
1/2 cup molasses |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Soak beans overnight in cold water. Parboil in morning for 15 minutes. 2. Put all ingredients in slow cooker, cover with water, and cook for 8 hours. 3. Serve with Raisin brown bread MMMMM GOOD! |
