Single Serving Hot Buttered Rum |

Unlike the other recipes here on Zaar, this uses milk instead of either water or ice cream. It's simple and soothing. Ingredients:
1 cup milk |
1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar |
1 cinnamon stick |
3 ounces rum (i prefer dark but suit yourself) |
1 tablespoon butter |
nutmeg (to garnish) |
Directions:
1. Heat milk almost to a boil in microwave or in a pot on the stove. Do not boil it! 2. Combine sugar, cinnamon stick and rum in pre-heated, heatproof mug and stir until sugar is dissolved. 3. Add milk, top with butter and a dash of nutmeg. |
