Heavily spiked, our take on the Singapore Sling highlights the aromatic quality of Benedictine, a Cognac-based liqueur that smells of honey, citrus, and herbs. Ingredients:
8 ounces (1 cup) distilled gin |
8 ounces (1 cup) benedictine liqueur |
3 ounces (1/3 cup) kirsch or other cherry-flavored brandy |
1 1/2 ounces (3 tablespoons) grenadine |
1/2 cup superfine granulated sugar |
1 liter club soda, chilled |
garnish: maraschino cherries |
Directions:
1. Stir together gin, Benedictine, kirsch, grenadine, and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Serve over ice in tall glasses with a splash of club soda. |
