SINFUL STRAWBERRY PIE This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the White Estate in Frisco, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
2 cups granulated sugar |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1 cup flour |
2 quarts strawberries |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 stick unsalted butter |
1 unbaked pie crust |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon.
2. Sprinkle over berries in a large shallow casserole then dot with butter.
3. Place pricked pie crust over top then cook 10 minutes at 450 then 25 minutes at 350.
4. Gently spread 2 teaspoons honey mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon on crust while hot.
