This is a very rich chocolate sauce. Wonderful over ice cream, or anything really. Be warned - not for calorie counters. Ingredients:
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup cocoa powder |
1 cup heavy cream |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Place first 4 ingredients in the top of a double boiler and stir until melted. 2. Cover and cook 45 minutes. 3. Add cream, stir until blended, about 3 minutes. 4. Sauce will become very smooth. 5. Cook another 10 minutes. 6. Add vanilla, stir. 7. Let cool before refrigeration. |
