Adapted from an old Easy Entertaining magazine. I did these for Valentines Day and they were easy to do and a great success. Ingredients:
125 g butter, at room temperature |
100 g dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces |
2 eggs |
1 cup sugar, i use brown |
2 tablespoons golden syrup |
2/3 cup plain flour |
2 tablespoons cocoa |
salt, just a pinch |
125 g chopped nuts (optional) |
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven 180°C. 2. Butter 20cm square cake tin. 3. Melt butter and choc in saucepan over low heat. 4. When melted ans smooth, set aside to cool. 5. Beat eggs and sugar in large bowl till thick and creamy. 6. Stir n cooled chocolate and golden syrup. 7. Then add flour, cocoa, salt and nuts. 8. Pour into tin, bake 30 minutes. 9. Remove from oven, cool in tin then cut into squares. |
