My cousin started this recipe from i don't know where, but it is so-ooo good and easy too. It is the only way i make taco meat now. :) This is also very good with ground turkey for the healthier side. I assemble tacos using lettuce, tomatoes, olives, cheese, & sour cream. I also like to use this meat after I get bored the the idea of tacos and make a big taco salad out of all of the taco ingredients. Use a burrito size tortilla and spray it with pam and put it in a large heat safe bowl and broil on low for a couple minutes, until it crisps up. YUM! Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
2 (7 3/4 ounce) cans el pato tomato sauce (yellow can) |
15 ounces tomato sauce |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
1 teaspoon garlic salt |
Directions:
1. brown ground beef in large skillet, drain off the fat and return to pan. 2. add all of the ingredients, spices and sauces. 3. let the meat simmer for a good half hour or so, until the most of sauce evaporates. prepare your taco however you prefer, fried or soft shell. |
