Simply Smashing Squash

Sweet but simple way to prepare this type of squash.
Ingredients:
2 lbs butternut squash
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons margarine
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
1. Peel squash and cut in half lengthwise; scoop out the seeds and cut into 1 pieces.
2. In a large saucepan, bring 1 of water to boil.
3. Add squash and return to a boil.
4. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until squash is tender.
5. Drain.
6. Puree squash with remaining ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
