SUPER EASY way to make you own Heath Bars!!! Ingredients:
2 cups butter |
2 cups sugar |
2 teaspoons light corn syrup |
1 (12 ounce) package milk chocolate chips |
1 cup finely chopped, toasted, pecans |
Directions:
1. Line a 15x10 inch baking pan with foil, extending over edges. 2. In 3 qt saucepan, melt butter. 3. Stir in sugar, corn syrup, and 1/3 cup WATER. 4. Cook on med-hi to boiling, stirring gently, until sugar is dissolved. 5. Clip on candy thermometer. 6. Cook on med heat, stirring often, to 290 degrees. 7. Remove thermometer. 8. Spread in pan. 9. Cool 5 minutes. 10. Sprinkle with chocolate, let stand 2 minutes. 11. Spread chocolate, top with nuts. 12. Press nuts into chocolate. 13. Cool until set. |
