5-Ingredient Fix Contest Entry. I saw a similar recipe on t.v. & improvised it with my own touches. Can be topped with salsa, maple syrup or sour cream. I used Jones hot breakfast sausage roll. Ingredients:
8 ounces breakfast sausage, cooked & crumbled |
20 ounces simply potatoes® shredded hash browns |
1 cup onion, shredded |
2 large eggs |
4 ounces plain yogurt |
Directions:
1. Mix potatoes,shredded onions ,eggs, yogurt & sausage. 2. Heat & season waffle iron according to manafacturer. 3. Put 4 ounces potato mixture on each section of waffle iron & cookabout 15-20 minutes until potatoes are crispy & brown. 4. Put in 250 degree oven while cooking remainder of waffles. 5. Serve with topping of your choice. |
