I found this recipe in a food everyday mag, and it's just so simple, and very yummy Ingredients:
1envelope (1/4 ounce) unflavored gelatin |
3 cups half-and-half |
1/2 cup sugar |
salt |
1 t pure vanilla extract |
maple syrup, for serving (optional) |
Directions:
1. Place 1/4 cup cold water in a small bowl; sprinkle with gelatin. Set aside to soften ( 5-10 minutes ) 2. In a medium sauce pan, combine half-and-half, sugar, and a pinch of salt. 3. Bring to a boil; remove from heat. 4. Add vanilla and softened gelatin mixture; stir until dissolved 5. Divide mixture among six 6-oz ramekins. Chill, covered with plastic wrap until firm, about 4 hours 6. To serve, run a small knife around the edge of each panna cotta to loose, and carefully dip bottom of ramekin in hot water for a few seconds. 7. Invert ramekin onto a small plate, holding both tightly, shake firmly to release panna cotta onto plate. 8. Drizzle each panna cotta with maple syrup, if desired of course. |
