Simple shortcake to make instead of going thru all the trouble to make one when you want one NOW! lol Ingredients:
6 sheets phyllo dough |
1-1/2 tbsp melted butter |
2 tbsp splenda |
1 pint strawberries, hulled and halved |
2/3 c heavy cream, whipped and lightly sweetened |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 and line a baking sheet with foil. 2. Work with one sheet at a time, keeping the rest of the phyllo under plastic wrap to keep moist. 3. Brush each sheet with a little melted butter. 4. Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp of splenda and lightly scrunch the sheet with your fingers, so it becomes crinkled. 5. Bake for 8-10 mins. 6. Cool in room temp. 7. Mix the berries with 1 tbsp of splenda and spoon over the phyllo. 8. Top with whipped cream and serve immediately/ |
